As a kid, fascinated by the vastness of space, my parents would on occasion take me to "Astronomy on Fridays", a weekly talk series by the Physikalischer Verein in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At some point during my undergrad studies, I transitioned from audience member to speaker...
